Fetal Photos by Cara is Making Gender Reveals Fun Again

November 1, 2022

If you're expecting a child, finding out the gender is a major event that you and your loved ones will be looking forward to. Having a reveal party is a great way to celebrate this joyous occasion with those closest to you, whether or not you already know the gender of your baby.

Read on to learn how to host a reveal that is safe and enjoyable for everyone involved!

Get Guests Gaming

It's always a great idea to get your guests involved in the celebration by having them participate in some gender reveal games. For instance, ask everyone to wear either pink or blue to show what they think the baby's gender is.

Pink and blue beaded necklaces, pins, leis, and temporary tattoos are all great additions. Voting tokens can be dropped into either a blue or pink ballot box, which can be placed on a table near the snacks.

Silly String to the Rescue

A small, fun, inexpensive, and memorable way to get kids and younger members of the family involved in a gender reveal party is to hand out pink or blue silly string. Just make sure someone covers the cans with brown paper to hide the label before handing them out. Parents have the option of learning the gender in advance or finding out at the silly string party so they can get the right color.

Utilize Food Fully

One of the easiest and most well-liked ways to make your gender reveal party more festive is to get creative with the food. You can order a gender reveal cake or cupcakes from a bakery, or make your own at home with some colored filling and some food coloring.

This way, when you cut into the cake or when it is brought out, everyone can tell by the colors what the gender of the baby is. Plus, who doesn’t like cake?! It’s a win-win!

Balloons for Everybody

It's very entertaining to let people know the news via balloons in a box. If you and your partner know for sure what gender your baby will be, you can pack the box yourself with pink or blue gender-reveal balloons to surprise your guests, but if you don't know, you can always ask someone else to do it.
